It added around 7-9 hours, probably more if you do every little thing and crank the difficulty to master.

Waaaayyyy more than 7-9 hours if you don't fast-travel everywhere. And if you actually count both of the quest lines.

I've put 30 hours into it without fast traveling around. That includes most side quests, I've yet to do the vampire side of it though, so probably another 10 hours there, atleast.

I didn't rush and I really didn't take my time and Dawnguard ran for 60 hours for me and that was the Dawnguard side alone, I haven't started a vampire play through yet.

I will say it adds a decent amount. I admit it wasn't really meaty enough for me.

If you don't fast travel...oh god. Speaking of which if you have the PC version put Warzones mod on and stop fast traveling, walk everywhere. Its so worth it.

I kinda rushed my first play through... but I spent an easy 20-30hrs. being in the PC (and Carrots knows this) I spent a lot of time taking pics haha I also fast traveled to neaby areas and walk to the markers.

I think that's the key, to not fast travel. I never fast travel and it makes quests last that much longer, not to mention the stuff you miss on the road if you do fast travel.

360 player here. I fast traveled only for the "across the map" distances. It took me about 30 hours, just completing the Vampire side. I also sneak just about everywhere I go, so I figure my slow pace kinda makes up for my fast travels :D
