Collecting is fun. I want to see your collection!

Collecting is what keeps me playing. Keeps me completing those side quests and misc quests. Watching it all pile up in your house is the best feeling. Im still working on my scrolls and ingots.

Cmon, i want to see what you guys have.

i can not really show you a collection because being on Xbox makes getting a screenshot difficult and well i just started a character so that kinda means i do not HAVE a collection to show.
IF only i could get my PC Skyrim working i would be set.

It was running fine not too long ago but last couple of days when i try and load it up from the disk it is not loading and putting it in the drive does not seem to make it auto play.
Makes a sound like the drive is trying to load it though.

Do you have a good collection? =D People seem to forget about filling your house, and not just the chest with a laundry list of weapons.

Lots and lots of trial and error. Potions are surprisingly easy because they stand up on their own when you push them into the surface.

Ooh, I'm gonna have to try placing all of my gems in a display case like you did, so sparkly!

I've never thought of putting ingots or any other stuff on display, I tried it back around November last year, but stopped when I noticed the items would go flying when I enter the house next time. I think I'll check if that's fixed now, seems like it could be. :D

Theres just something about a big pile of gems. Darn you Rarity.

On my first save i put them in a cauldron and it looked pretty sweet, but they weren't out in the open enough.

I don't have much of one in Skyrim, but in Oblivion I had a dungeon that spawned high lvl enemies with sick loot that I would raid weekly. I could only carry a quarter of it out with spells, so I would hord the other 3/4 in a small space off to the side (items didn't disapear when respawns happened). By the time one playthrough was over, I was filthy rich and still had a two foot deep pile of glass, deadric, and ebony weapons and armor. It was pretty cool.

I play on the Xbox 360, so only have low quality pics taken with a camera. And my enthusiasm for taking screenshots the hard way did not really start till Hearthfire. Where I actually got some decent space to arrange things.

Dwarven swords

Just recently decided bear pelts might be worthwhile, but only have two small ones so far, and there is a tiny horker tusk on the barrel.

I was sizing some kettles up trying to work out if I had the largest, I did not. Iona of course had to walk through them just after this shot was taken.

This is not really a collection, the collection was when I had 40 odd sweet rolls all over the floor trying to find the small ones, turns out I had more sizes than I thought I did. I started out just wanting a couple of small sweet rolls. I lined them up just so I know what size I want next time. Now I just have to work out where the smallest ones came from.

And the items will still go flying if you just go arrange them. You have to drop them, go through a loading door, come back and then arrange them. Some items just hate being arranged and will only drop in place.

Lots of time and lots of patience.

Patience was only required for four things.

The ingots, that slide all over the place like wet bars of soap, and have a mind of their own as to where they will stay. They are wedged in there with no where to move, that was was by no means the first attempt at getting ingots on that shelf, all the other ways failed.

The different sized bottles on top of the bar/shrine were a pain, trying to get them lined up evenly while on an angle, had to stand on the shrine to get them up there.

The redwater skooma bottles for some weird reason had slightly different physics to all the other skooma bottles, not necessarily harder to get them upright, but half way through arranging skooma bottles it was annoying. Some you did one way, some you did slightly differently, it was confusing.

Those Dwarven swords gave me trouble, there are too many in the display case.
