While playing the main quest line, I got to the part where you use the Elder Scroll to go back in time to learn Dragonrend. In the very beginning of the scene when that dude with the ax starts fighting a dragon I noticed something very strange. He was using the spear animation from the game jam video. I took a few screen shots just to show you all. I will take more and maybe try to upload a video of it.

Clearly an 1H axe and a dagger.

What they did for the GJ vidya is just model a new 1h weapon and call it a spear..
Notice on the GJ video he uses the spear in the way no person would ever use a spear.

Anyway, they're probably not going to be in dragonborn and there are already many, many, threads on the matter

Really, someone's already got their hands on the final cut of the DLC and all?

There's a closed beta - I doubt Bethesda will add or remove features from the game between now and December 4.

I'm not saying one way or another, I don't see my character wielding spears either, buuuut It seems easy enough to segregate certain aspects of the final cut from the beta testing, simply because it's already been tested and approved.

That would be counter productive. You need to give the beta testers the complete product. Otherwise it's pointless.
