We couldn't block out the sun? REALLY? Why didn't we get to see the masters of the soul cairn? And what is even the point of the VL questline if you get to become one at the end of Dawnguard? The VL form's damage output is terrible and since the majority of enemies are undead we don't get as many perk points.

You do get to block out the sun and the vampire lords damage is because of a bug with Serana. If you dismiss her it fixes it.

blocking out sun should be permanent or something you can turn off and on

Just killed Harkon... no option to block out the sun.

The damage is very high, you need to dismiss serana.

VL are incredibly strong, it's such a shame they didn't make it exclusive to the vampire questline.

The bow is the key. Ask serana to drench elven arrows in her blood and BOOM 24 hour's of sun blout outy goodness.

yup blood drenched arrows...i was happy with it just wished they would have done an epic battle between dawnguard and the VL like they did with the civil war

You get to blot it out yourself. Get Serana to make you some arrows.
