Nifskope Problem?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 12:11 am

Hello,

I already asked this same question on skyrimnexus, but I didn't get any answers.

I'm trying to scale magic effect with nifskope, but I keep getting these error messages. Also, when I import the nif file to the Creation Kit, it crashes.

When I load the mesh that I haven't modified in any ways, this pops up:

""device position incorrect after block number 157 (NiPSysData) at 0x15ce0 ended at 0x15d30 (expected 0x15d66)""

And after I have tried to scale the object from 1.0 to 0.5 and I'm about to save the nif, comes this:

failed to sanitize blocks order, corrupt nif tree?
invalid link

That message will come even if I haven't modified the file. So, if I import the file to Nifskope and after that I'll try to save it, that message will come.

If you have any other ways to do this in mind, script for example, please help me out. All help is appreciated. I will credit the one who gives me a solution from helping me out.

And also I'm not expert with Nifskope, so try to explain in simple way :)

Thanks,

-WarriorKeKe

Here is the mod which I'm updating, if I get this to work: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19270

What version of Nifskope are you using? I found the latest RC7 a little unstable so I stick with RC6.

With RC6 it says that: link points to wrong block type, when I have scaled and try to save.

Hmm, ok, which mesh are you trying to open? I'll check it for you.

In Nifscope you can turn off "http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope/Working_With_Nifs_101_:_Basic_Use#Menu_Options" option, so the Nifscope don't try to auto-fix anything in nif file before saving.

Only by ignoring the messages you got it to work? And what about Creation crashes after importing modified nif you mentioned? No CK crashes anymore?
