Role-Playing Appearances

Anybody else trying this? I don't come to the Dawnguard forum often, so I don't know if there are 300 billion of these already made.

I myself like to change my character every 20 levels, making my character older every time.

It's a fun way to play (like earning a badge for reaching the next stage) and helps you immerse yourself in the game in my opinion.

By the beginning, my character has short hair, a clean shave and very scrawny with light skin.

By the end, my character is a bit more buff, and he is old and looks very similar to Gandalf. He could easily be mistaken for a Greybeard at that point.

During the level 41-60 period, I decide to give him a scar to make him a bit more authentic. After all, Skyrim is no "Hello Kitty Island Adventure"

Anyways, let me know about your ideas.

As long as they never ever add in actual aging. I dont spend 30 minutes on my character just to have it changed by the game.

Yeah. That Fable 1 crap was a bad joke.

Yeah, I'm playing in a similar style. As my characters developed I've changed his appearance and style many times.

I think aging would be quite a decent feature, tricky though, as everyone in the gameworld would also have to age.

I'm about 520 game days into my character - so he isn't going to look like Gandalf for quite a long time indeed.

I might add a scar or something soon to reveal the heavy fighting he's been through.

Yeah, I agree. I only thought about this with my wife Lydia, and I came up with the agreement that she just diets and exercises regularly. Haha

I don't do this kind of things often but there are characters I have used console to get them to grow beard, get a scar after furious battle or loose an eye if an arrow have hit my characters head.

This actually fits in well with the no face changing for vamps.

It's an interesting idea, but I think I'd have to think about race too (would my high elf age much? Probably not)

Not in this game. But I did have my characters start bald in New Vegas and grow their hair back over time.
