Can Vampire Lord be aquired after being cured and beating Qu

I beat the questline on the Vampires side, Harkon dead and all that.

My question is: if i cure VL so i can alter my face in Riften, could i get VL back later?

Really, i didnt cure her, so Serana can change me into a VL any time?

That is correct, though it's only late in / after (don't remember exactly) the mq.
