I'm running into more and more random fights of werewolves taking on vampires, and not just small battles, some like 5 or 6 vampires taking on 3 or 4 werewolves. Anyone notice similar things?

I'm jealous. haven't had any yet.

As far as I was aware in TES lore Were-beasts and Vampires don't really have anything against each other..... I have yet to see these battles.

This probably all depends, on time, location, and level.

I'm kind of suspicious about this... I haven't even seen wild werewolves. Also there is nothing in the lore about vamps and weres hating each other.

On the other hand it could be an easter egg.

They were later at night, just random places near forests on main roads, just wandering around exploring areas in werewolf form, I'm not sure if it matters that I'm a werewolf and they are trying to protect me in a pack type of way, but they do say savage werewolf when I changed back and examined the dead bodies. They were fighting the group of volkihar vampires, one of them was specifically named volkihar vampire. I'm playing on 360 btw. I haven't even started the dawnguard quests on this character profile, they just mention it in cities.

I have never seen a werewolf out in the wild, so I haven't seen these fights seen yet, but then again I have never really explored or traveled in my wolf form.

I've run across vampires hunting me, 2-3 werewolf vargr's in the wild that were immediately hostile, and hunters at night who turn into hostile werewolves. I love these extra random encounters. Also, a couple nights ago I ran into a couple Vigilants of Stendarr, and noticed that one of them was named a "Vigilant Vampire Hunter".

I think what you may have encountered is a group of werewolves, and a group of vampires, but they saw each other first when they spawned and began fighting rather than immediately fighting with you. Like when you run across some necromancers fighting bandits... I don't think they have anything particularly against each other, but they saw each other before you and bang a gong, the fight was on.

Another thing... I've noticed several of the Thalmor groups on the roads without a prisoner since installing Dawnguard. Not Thalmor that are hunting you / have a bounty to get you, but just walking along sans prisoner.

The Thalmor sans prisoner were in game before DG.

ive only seen this once and it was 2 vampires vs 1 werewolf....i fast travel to much.

I too love the new random encounters, Ive had farmers run up to me for help from a werewolf, and then an hr later have another farmer standing over his dead wife yelling "What have I done?" Of course as soon as i aproached, he turned into a werewolf and tried to repeat said crime on me! lol. Only complaint I have is wild were's not recognizing you as on their side so to speak when your a were as well. I havnt tried playing as a vamp yet as well i personaly have a major hate on vamps every since twilight tried to make them hip and suave, so do vamps hunt player vamps as well? If so id really like a faction tweak to fix this.
