Fort Dawnguard update needed!

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 1:06 am

So I beat the Dawnguard side of the DLC a long time ago, and although I beat it, the dining hall is still unfurnished and there are still cobwebs everywhere. And from what I have seen and read, it is still like this for EVERYONE. So what I want, VERY BADLY, is an update that fixes this problem. Bethesda, PLEASE DO THIS FOR US!

Anyone else?

Yes I'd like that too, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Don't think so, there isn't even one that lets you marry Serana (even if you want her dead, yeah, but it's something many people want and I'm surprised it's not there yet).

Ahh , I get the feeling that sooner or later I will start modding.

There are no bigger revamps of the fort yet but there are a few that add some containers and display cases and stuff... Not really what i personally want but it's something.

Yeah it would be better if the place actually looks like people actually live there when progressing through those quests.

whole heartedly agree with this thread. They did it for the thieves guild and i always thought it made going up that ladder almost worth selling your soul for! (now i have a mod that let me keeps my soul so all is well for my thieves.) I too was dissapointed as i continued doing the quests and looking around to see what kind of effects it was have on the surroundings and other npc's only to discover there was none. The whole first part of the story line goes on about how this guy has been obsessed with repairing and fixing the place up, shame with the added help you give him, it still never gets done.

Yeah, I don't need any new furniture, just get rid of the cobwebs and the stacked chairs and tables. That stuff makes it look like the fortress is abandoned and unlived in.

I was really disappointed with Fort Dawnguard. It's so massive that even after the DLC is finished it still feels empty. The stacked chairs, cobwebs and general disarray just add to it.

It's like inviting 5 of your friends to an intimate sleep over in an abandoned arena....

Same for Volkihar Keep. Lots of destroyed passageways in that place and only one of them ever gets fixed. I've fully progressed through both sides of Dawnguard and was disappointed with the keeps of each at the end.

There's one that uses Fort Dawnguard assets to make a decent castle, but that's all. Personally, some day of these I'll do the same :)

ha i dont know why everyones so upset by cobwebs, its an old castle so naturally it will be dusty.
Also its a fort full of warriors/vamp hunters so who would do maid duties? obviously they're not worried about a pretty fort, they all sleep on cots :P

Yes,I agree. The cobwebs need to be moved,it doesn't take much for one of them to sweep them away. There are a lot of things that could be done with Fort Dawnguard.I might make a thread about it.
