Spear perks

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 10:55 pm

Im guessing the usual 20-100% damage and penetrate armor by a % perks. But my imagination fails me after that :D

What perks do you think will come with spears?

I'm guessing just the regular run of the mill perks, if there are any. I really hope Bethesda expands on all of the weapons to make them feel more unique and interesting because having 20% damage increase perks gets very stale.

Unknown if they'll have their own tree.
I would think they'd fall in with 2-handed and use existing perks such as Deep Wounds and Sweep.

Seriously? None

They will be eighter unusable or throwable (so marksman perks would apply),

As has been said all the way through, we don't yet know if we're even getting them.

Don't burn me, I am a massive wanter of spears myself, but we just don't know yet :/

I'm still not convinced they are in in the same way we think they are. I sure am hoping that they aren't just one crappy stone and stick spear, I want the variety from Morrowind.

longer range, extra armor penetration, its hard to think of any perks which would benefit the spear without making the combat look cheesy.

Regular spears will probably be two-handed while throwing spears (like hand-to-hand) won't have a tree at all.

Longer range and disarm both sounds possible.

Sorry for not stating that we may not even get perks for it. It just seemed logical that something that is as easy to program and add to the game as new perks would be highly likely. I guess the best counter argument would be that adding a whole new perk tree for one weapon would be kinda bad?

It could be that they will add different types of spears though? Like a pole axe, halberd, naginata, javelin, spear, throwing spears, different spearheads and so on.
They could also easily add different shafts.

Wooden shaft: Less damage higher attack speed.
Steel shaft: Higher damage slower attack speed.
