Is there anyway to make the mute/ignore user function on these forums more easily accessible? Please. Could y'all add an 'Ignore' button to the window that pops up when we hover over a user's handle? Currently we have to identify the offending user, copy his/her handle, open our profile settings to the ignore section, enter or paste the handle, select which types of communications to ignore, save changes, then return to the thread we were reading. Doesn't that seem like too many steps for such a basic function? Also, may we please have the ability to toggle off all 'Signatures', rather than that being user-specific through the same cumbersome 'Ignore' process?
The majority of forum users are pleasant, thoughtful, and helpful. However, there are a significant number that are anything but. Unfortunately, many of them are among the more active forum participants. Some consistently take threads off topic and/or engage in off-topic back-and-forth conversations within the thread. Some wantonly present misinformation, or their own ill-considered speculation, as confirmed facts. Some simply spend far more time typing than thinking about what they're typing. Some are just immature, rude, or abusive. However they they do it, they make it more burdensome to find information or thoughtful discussion on these forums. I don't mind if these people do their thing, or have obnoxious signatures, I'd just appreciate a functional way to keep them from muddling my screen.
