Ratways change appearance.

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:58 pm

The ratways is not a good place to edit your appearance. It is hard to see what coloures you are selecting.

I tried it yesterday.

I changed my hair colour to what I thought was blonde but when i left the ratways it was actually red.

I changed my skin colour to what I thought was light tanned but when I left the ratways I was dark brown.

My nord now looks like a redguard and it cost me 1,000 gold :/

Bethesda please put the appearance change option somewhere else. Preferabley outside.

This is indeed a problem. But I don't see an immediate fix besides patching in a new place to change your appearance. At the very least you can save before you do it and repeat it until you are satisfied.

I haven't gone there to try doing it but what if you cast candlelight before you talk to him/her.

One thing thats disappointing...you can't change your appearance as a vampire. I hate that but I guess Bethesda is trying to figure side-effects between vampires and being normal I guess. Or did they add another dude for vampires somewhere?

Uh-oh.... I did it late last night, and didn't have time to check it out elsewhere.... I don't think it'll be moved. The location is appropriate for the task - makes sense.

As a normal vampire who doesn't much enjoy the "badassness" of Vampire Lord, the only thing I really got from this entire DLC was the ability to not be attacked on sight at stage 4, and to feed on those I've used Seduction on. And a game-breaking mechanic that kills lots of NPCs if I ever go into town.

Face-changing would really have been nice.

So can you change more than just your hair? Also would it help if you were holding a torch before doing it? Sometimes I do that when using the console to make changes.
