So, after many hours spend in the DLC, I've collected some questions and notes.
I guess I'll start off with;


-How does one unlock the achievement for 'Killing a Legendary Dragon'.
I've fought those new, lizard-like dragons but it doesnt seem to unlock.
*ANSWER*
"You have to kill a Legendary Dragon to get it. Very rare dragon. "

-Is the Quest 'Lost to the Ages' only unlockable if you don't kill the Father of serana?
Because it hasn't popped up for me, yet atleast.

"When you first arrive in the Dawnguard castle there is a book on a bookshelf called Aetherium Wars which starts the quest for Lost to the Ages."

-Does serana give you multiple oppertunitys to become a Vampire Lord?
as in, would I be able to cure it, lets say 20 times and then become a Vampire Lord again?
*Answered but unconfirmed* "You get only 1 change to become vampire again. I think."

-Does being a regular vampire increase your Vampire Lord powers?
If so, would you be able to become a regular vampire even though your already a Vampire Lord?


-Can you free Serana's mother out of the Soul Cairn?
*ANSWER* "After killing the lord vampire, return to the soul cairn and info the mother and she has a line about returning"

-Did I miss small villages or city's in the DLC?
I know this might sound stupid, but I expected atleast a city or some small community's
other than the Vampire's and the Dawnguard...

ashleyclark pointed out that an area of interest might be the Forgotten Vale.
"There are 5 frost giants in the Forgotten Vale. DO NOT pass up the ruby gem. Great item when you kill a falmar."
He also pointed out that a small side quest can be obtained from the Winterhold library
"There are 4 Unknown Books to take to the orc in the college library and he will give you 4 translated ones back along with some gold."



-What to do with the Elder Scrolls after you have progressed over that part of the story?
Or are there any other uses then the Sun Scroll to make the sun-reappear again when you blocked it out?


-is there a Snow Elf Helmet?
*ANSWER* Thanks to ashleyclark we know there is no helmet.


There... *takes a breath* I hope I can get some of these answered, I've been looking for answers myself for all these qeustions,
but I just want to make sure I didn't miss anything!
I hope this thread can answer some other people their questions aswell..

A vampire lord is a form of vampire, the VL form is just a transformation into a more powerful form, sorry if that didn't make sense

...as far as I know, there are no more uses for the elder scrolls

Where can I find the rest of the "Unknown books?" I have volume 1 and IV so far.

I know that 3 of them, vol 1, 3 and 4 are in the falmar huts. vol 2 is located after you use one of the paragons. Sorry I did not remember more

Where can I activate the paragons?

There is a post on this called Paragon Locations. I believe that the portal is by the shrine of learning

The sun will reappear the day following the day you blocked it out. If that makes any sense. Haha

The sun will only stay blocked out for the remainder of the day you shot it. The next day, when the sun comes up, it will be normal again. The elder scroll is not needed.
