This is some form of strange bug or something but as i was walking through a cave with my companion my screen filled pink
and gave me the message

"your vampiric power recedes as you feed"
and im thinking
"Oh beth you are funny making people think they're a vampire..."

then i check my active effects and im weak to fire.... yet im a werewolf, so i assumed i could cure my "vamparism" with a normal method
giving that one dude a filled soul gem, he isn't anywhere to be found and no innkeeper is telling me about him

so i figured why not play as a vampire for a bit? might as well, then a hit stage 4 vamparism and thought

"oh [censored] i gotta feed"

so i sneak about a town trying to find something to feed on and i walk into a house with everyone awake and i think

"im defiantly dead"

and they don't attack a stage 4 vampire...at all?

but i keep my beast form ability AND the vampire spells?

Atleast the people who are wanting to be a werepyre hybrid can relax knowing there is a bug and will probably be figured out soon..

That was the exact same thing what happened to me i was attacking a bandit camp for a dawnguard side quest and i turned into a werewolf and started to destroy my enemies while i was doing that my screen went pink and said your vampire power have grown and i was like what the hell obviously i realized it was a glitch so i went to get cured sadly i couldn't get cured as it did not give me the dialogue so i was stuck as a vampire+werewolf hybrid i kept that save because if i ever want to be a vampire+werewolf hybrid i could just load the save but i just reverted a save which was recent and got all diseases removed and so far no vampire powers so fingers crossed

i think its a bug on dawnguard not the vanilla game as it has never happened to me before or have i heard about it before dawnguard

You could be a hybrid easily on the vanilla game but the getting stuck at stage four was a pain and not worth the extra powers if you get attacked all the time...but now since dawnguard, it does not matter, you can be a hybrid now with out the annoyance and I think you can feed again if you the vampire seduction though I have yet to test that. I know you still cannot feed on sleeping people and the reason is that once you use your beast form, it resets your race.

I don't know if this is how it happened for you but I know someone who is a werewolf and he contracted the brainrot disease so it may possibly be possible (although very unlikely) to contract sanguine vampiris while a werewolf. possibly.

Do you guys still get the weaknesses from sunlight? Also you guys may not realize this but it may not be a glitch. Maybe they wrote in game code for it to happen but didn't get all the kinks worked out. So it could be hidden data that randomly pops up. It could be fixed in a update to where it becomes a viable character. But it'd be better to be a VL and werewolf.

No, you ain't supposed to be a hybrid, it is a glitch.

You can a be VL and werewolf at the same time by using that ring thing. You won't have the werewolf perk tree though I believe.

4th Stage no longer makes people attack you. Its an update they added in DG, not a glitch.

Never got the disease only the indicator that my vampiric power had reset to stage one


I am not a vampire lord only a normal vampire, and no i'm not weaker in sunlight

So i take it that no one has found a fix for this yet?

Beth lies, you aren't 100% resistant to diseases when a werewolf, you're more like 99.5% resistant. I got rockjoint from a saber cat while a werewolf, so you can also contract sanguinaris vampiris as well, not too much of a stretch.

If i recall the vampire+werewolf thing was a bug back in Morrowind... caused my game on the pc to crash... allot..

There is a glitch where you can Turn into a Vampire Lord Werewolf, but you'll have to search the internet to find it. I know how myself, but I'm not sure if you're allowed to encourage glitches on here .

Edit: And just to add, you get to use both perk trees too.
