Hey all, Im playin as dawnguard and have gotten to the point where you rescue the moth priest from the cave. Well he has never quit aggro on me and so know he went to fort dawnguard every time i walk in there they all just continually fight preventing me from moving forward with the quest. Is there any fix for this?

I had to reload at least 10 times in order to get this working. To get this working, for me, when he starts attacking, don't attack him back. Let him and Serana (if she's with you) duke it out until he yields. Once he does, lay off him from that point forward.

Use spells to calm him. Dual-cast "Pacify" will easily overcome his maximum level of 40.

If you're opposed to such magical devotion, become a vampire, albeit briefly, and use the "Vampire's Seduction" power on him.

You could also use "Voice of the Emperor," if you're an Imperial.

I'll note, and maybe it was just my luck, the Calm spell worked, but once the effects wore off, he went right back to being hostile.

Go commit a crime in the Rift and pay a guard. NPCs with higher aggression attack criminals on sight.
