This is my first time on these forums today so, I'm not sure if anyone has been experencing any bugs with Dawngaurd or any other quests in Skyrim but, I have this little bug with the quest that Vingalmo in the Castle Volkihar gives you called "New Allegiances" to turn Huran into a Vampire in Winterhold at "The Frozen Hearth" to keep an eye on the Magic College. I did the quest, completed it went back to him, he gave me a different quest. Then when I came back, he gave me the "New Allegiances" quest again. I can't do it again because, Huran is already a Vampire. Not sure what to do, I play this on Xbox 360.

Tried uninstalling it, then reinstalling it but, it didn't help...


I also seem to be having a glitch with the Thieves guild, I seem to be unable to go forward in the story. I got recruited, did a few small quests for Vex and the other guy but, when I go to talk to Brynjolf, he justs tells me he's busy and we'll have to speak another time.

I don't see any unfinished quests that I have to do so I can go forward w/that storyline.

Vingalmo giving you the same quest again is a bug. On the Xbox you can kill the intended new vampire which will fail the quest and allow you to progress, but he will continue to give you these bugged quests which will break all of the radiant quests from the castle. My advice is to revert to an older save from before you turned in the last quest you had and basically try again. The quests are random, and if you go to a save from before you entered the castle to turn in the last quest, you have a chance of getting any other quest after your turn in. I make a save right before I enter the castle to turn in a quest and then if I get to Vingalmo I keep loading up that save until I get sent to someone else. On PC you can use console commands, but it's still rather tiresome. Vingalmo also gives you other quests, so if you try this method you may want to check what his quest is before reverting to a save.

As for the Thieves' Guild, do you have a game that's patched above 1.4?

If you get all the perks in your vampire skill tree, you might avoid doubling up on the quests so fast. Some of the quests seem to be dependent on skill, otherwise you are going to be getting the same quests all the time.
