Dawngaurd could have been better...

Alright let me say first that I loved Dawngaurd and all it had to offer, but I think Bethesda could have done a much better job in some areas. (warning ranting ahead)
I thought that the dialogue felt very rushed in some areas of the game, the voice actors were spot on but the scripting of the lines wasn't done very well.
I didn't care about any of the new characters that were added and they were all very forgettable and boring.
I didn't find the story arc of either factions to be all that interesting, I expected to be fighting vampires and dawngaurd but then the main quest was all about retrieving a bow, I fought more falmer than vampires in the quest.
They expected you to be far enough in the game to where you have the elder scroll, but then you just get really low level items throughout the dlc. Like the salesman in the soul cairn just gives you absolute crap.
The Soul Cairn is a pretty boring place, the only point in being there is to get a few spells and shouts, there is no real point in going back there.
And, same as the vanilla game, Bethesda took out the role playing elements of the game. You have almost no decisions you can make, and you just have to go along with everything.

Anyone else agree or am I looking like a complete idiot right now?

I thought the Vampire quest line was better than the Dawnguard quest line. But yeah I agree I didn't like killing all the falmer, and I especially didn't like the sidequests taking place in places that were already in the game :stare:

It looks like a solid piece of DLC, it just seemed overpriced at this point.

I thought everything was overall good.My only problem was not being able to upgrade either fort dawnguard or the castle Volkihar, have 25,000gold and don't know what to do with it now.
