In Menu condition ....How is this used?

I thought it would be as easy as InMenu type 0 = 1 but that will not trigger my condition. I see you can plug in number (it defaults to 0) and I tried 1 to 4. Still no effect.

This is on an ability on the actor, and I am sure that my abilities run in menu mode for at least a few seconds as I have seen my test messages pop up while I was in menu mode from other magic ability scripts.


Edit for clarity: Condition TAB for a spell not a script nor a console command. I want the magic abilities conditions to trigger when the player is in menu mode and sometimes on other (different) spells the opposite, that the spell not to be active while in Mennen mode.

Not Script nor Console, rather in the conditions TAB in the CK for things like spells or dialog or quests etcetera.
:( I wish we had better terminology for this stuff, it is confusing huh?

Can you be more specific in what are you trying to achieve? What menus bother you? Are you bothered by the fact that you seem to have an active effect while browsing your saves or what?

Yeah mate, too much is almost the same. Sometimes trying to work out which similar command someone wants to talk about makes your hair bleed!


(And I don't know ... never used it in there, spooky, sorry)

And yes I have seen spells run on actors while the player is in menu mod (message box will pop up from my testing).

So I am wondering if anyone has this TAB inmenu "TYPE" part figured out?


Can you be more specific in what are you trying to achieve? What menus bother you? Are you bothered by the fact that you seem to have an active effect while browsing your saves or what?
