Someone was posting a lot yesterday saying you can get the Vampire hood from the Dawnguard radiant quests at random.

I've yet to do the Dawnguard side so Idk.

I found the hood, but it is a regular cowl. I don't think it contributes to the set bonus. The gauntlets are light armor and have the appearance of armored gloves.

The hood goes with the Vamp ROBE set not the Light armor one

Does it display correctly or does it make you character go bald like some of the other hoods do?

That's only linwes hood, guild master and TG hood. Not the nightingale hood, or any other hood I'm aware of.

Ancient Shrouded Cowl definitely made my argonian (who originally had horns and feathers) show bald with no hood on. I've heard it's because of the horns and feathers though.
