"Rune" Hammer and Shield? : V

So i have heard there is a "Rune" hammer and shield in the game. Anyone know where I may acquire these items? Seeing the name of these weapons reminds me of runescape lol.

Yeah it's a pretty awesome weapon actually, you can acquire it by taking a quest from a mage you rescue and then recruit for the Dawnguard (can't remember his name). ~~The Shield you just buy from Gunmar.~~

I thought you were talking about the Dawnguard Shield. There is a Rune Shield apparently, but I've yet to find it. I'll keep you posted if I acquire it tonight.

the rune hammer beasts it up. When the hammer hit the ground it lays a fire rune and blows the person up....i dont know about the shield

Be sure to bash at the ground though. If you swing at the ground it counts as a regular attack. If you block and bash, it'll throw the rune on the ground and then "KABOOM*. Bye-bye Vamps.

the sheild is light armor btw forgot enchantments but you get it from the same guy who gave you the quest for the hammer

Rune hammer and shield are only available to Dawnguard players. Come as side quests from the crazy Priest of Arkay dawnguard member.

Just keep asking what you can do, and eventually they'll tell you to go talk to him. Between Arkay, the crossbow chick and Gunmar just keep talking to them and they'll keep giving you new quests.

Altho I believe the ones Gunmar gives you are just random ones, while the other two actually give you something new.

Gunmar and Arkay priest will rotate back and forth for quests. Girl will always give crossbow and bolt upgrade quests.

I think the Dawnguard gives you Vampire extermination quests and Artifact quests intermittently. If you talk to one of the members and ask "What can I do to help?" they'll refer you to Gunmar or the Priest of Arkay dude. Complete their quests and they'll feed you quests to get stuff.

there is also a rune war axe. dont know about any other rune weapons i can think of.
