Possible to set a quest marker without the quest displaying : V

Hey guys. Is it possible to display a quest/compass marker without the quest actually showing in the journal or popping up saying quest started?

No I don't think you can, B1g.

You can sort-of hide them from the journal (just have no log), but I have not found a way of not showing the "Quest Started" message.

(If you find a way of stopping the quest-started message please post ... I would very much like that for something I am (still) working on (slowly!)
