I was really hoping there would be werebears even though I wasnt planning on playing one but it would have been cool to see some. But i'm sure after all these complaints of no werebears bethesda will probably add them in with another DLC.

Still tons of little things that didn't get addressed in the base game.

Ex. why can't I improve Silver weapons? They look GREAT, but the inability to smith them make them more useless than iron daggers.

Edit: I do appreciate modifications/improvements to the core product, but how/why some things get overlooked just confounds me.
Those additions would be implemented in a separate patch as all players should have access to them, not just Dawnguard players.

I don't know... there was a lot of people (myself included) who complained about the Volkihar in vanilla Skyrim not adhering to lore, and look how that turned out.

(Not saying Vampire Lords are bad, just that they are radically different than the vampires said to be in Skyrim)

There were rumors of somethings related to the Snow Prince however I honesty couldn't find them such as a Spear, Armor, and a book. Not to say their isn't a cool armor set at the end of one quest.

As far as creatures, I was suprised while playing not to see any new water creatures I mean there was a lot of water in the new DLC at one point I was thinking... Kraken? But nope not to say one of the new dragons were awesome. And if you don't know what I am talking about the Veil has a good amount of water (not to say there isn't something that comes out from the water in a part) and 1/2 of the new caves had rivers running through them.
Additionally, thought this was a good opportunity to add a phoenix. Come on the ending has to due with sun and a (spoiler) (spoiler) (Spoiler)... Finally not more werewolf additions besides the the perks... I was suprised.

Not to say this DLC was one of the best in history of the world.

krakens would be useless in skyrim since they would have too be very tough and also you cant fight underwater

I was expecting Lamae, the first Vampire, to be in it.

I don't believe Krakens nor Phoenix's are in the Lore.....that's why they weren't added
Neither were the Dawnguard. I'm sure they could add new animals if they wanted too.

I was expecting Lamae, the first Vampire, to be in it.

I believe she is in Coldharbour, being tortured for the rest of eternity for her boyfriend selection.

Lore I maybe ignorant in, however, they are the story writers and they even created a model for a werebear. Doubtful that is in the lore.
Werebears are in lore. They were supposed to be a really big issue in Skyrim. That's why everyone was suprised not to see them in vanilla Skyrim, and even more so when Dawnguard came out, especially after seeing they had already made one for the Gamejam.

Actually werebears are in the lore! I think they're supposed to be the most common lycanthropes in Skyrim!

Hopefully all this complaining about werebears will finally shed some light in bethesdas eyes. I expected them to be in DG since the VL was in the game jam video as well.

Can you really say ninja'd when someone beat you to the punch 11 hours ago?

Werebears are, hence a percentage of the community's continual disappointment that we haven't encountered them in Skyrim yet.

Werebears are stated to be the most common lycanthrope, yes, but the author of said book never encounters one or nor any evidence to suggest they actually suggest. Now werewolves on the other hand... two of them in his search for werebears.
