Can werewolves rag doll the PC?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 12:36 pm

Just had a dragon fight where two werewovles showed up. One of the ww's was fighting a sabrecat as well as the dragon and I saw it rag doll that cat a couple of times. But neither of the ww's ever rag dolled me. So my question is: can ww's rag doll the PC?

I've never had a random werewolf encounter but I'd assume they could.

Giants ragdoll you, and besides the dragon soul inside you you still have the body pretty much of all those other NPC's right?

The only time a giant will rag doll you is when he kills you. I had in mind being tossed about while still alive, like when a deathlord Fus Roh Dah's you butt.

No the wild werewolves cannot ragdoll the player, at worst they stagger you a little like the dragons can or giants can.

It would most certainly make the werewolf encounters scary, knowing that it could put you on your back and keep you there :ahhh: I for one would love it if they could ragdoll you the player, would add much needed difficulty to the game BUT I would imagine there would be a fare bit of complaining that the werewolves are to hard. :glare:

Can you imagine the encounter if they could ragdoll the player ? It would REALLY add realism to the werewolf encounter and it would keep the player on his/her toes  not to mention scare the living wits out of you

It would make the werewolf the deathclaw creature Skyrim needs.

And needs BADLY, but as I said if they where able to ragdoll you then there would be a million threads about how hard the werewolves are and that they need to be nerfed  But in actual fact the game needs to be harder then it sits now, much harder IMO. Almost got myself convinced into investing in a PC to make the game feel the way I want it to feel.

That's actually a very good point. Skyrim doesn't really have that enemy that no matter what level you are you know it would probably be more wise to avoid or just sneak around it.

Skyrim could use an enemy that you come across where you just say "oh [censored]" and run instead of engaging it.

They had two chances for this so far, at the start it was the dragons. IMO dragons should be MUCH more savage then they currently are, dragons are supposed to be feared, they are supposed to be the strongest / meanest thing out there and yet when you compare Dragons from RL lore to the dragons of SKyrim the Skyrim dragons are geckos in comparison  Same could be said for the werewolves, they are feared just as much as dragons and their supposed to be just as mean and yet the encounter doesn't feel any different from any other encounter

I never messed around with the Dethclaws in Fallout even when I was at max level with the best gear I still would go the other way when I would cross paths with a Deathclaw and yet I go out of my way to have a werewolf encounter on a regular basis, I make routine trips hunting for the elusive werewolf. I always hunt dragons, if I see one that just passes over I will follow it as best as I can in hopes of catching it and killing it. There's a lack of danger in Skyrim, more so when at high levels so IMO the game could use the addition of some creatures that you would avoid and try your best to not encounter even when your at max level. There really needs to be more " monster " on the map that you just avoid and if you do have an encounter it's pretty much time to plan your funeral. :dead:

That reminds me... that mother of all Deathclaws in NV... I believe she/it was called "ROOARRR" or something... emptied the Browning AR and a minigun at it and still got croaked. Lord, Skyrim could use a monster like that.

Exactly, there where a couple unique Deathclaws that no matter what level you where and no matter what weapons you use you where in trouble when you encounter them. The only solid defense was to try and cripple their legs so as to slow them down, if you couldn't do that you where screwed. Skyrim could really use a couple creatures/monsters just like that, something that no matter what level you are and no matter the weapons & armor you have the fight is going to be challenging, your going to have to use your brain and figure out the best way to deal with this creature.

I was thinking about how you could deal with a ww if it could rag doll you. At first I thought it would be an unstoppable killing machine. But after some thought I decided it probably wouldn't be that bad. You would just need to be sure you had a paralyze enchantment on whatever weapon you were using. One shot of paralyze and you could keep it on the ground until it was dead. Of course, it would be tougher to do with two ww's, but paralyze would still be your best bet.

Good idea..... But what would be the chances of running out of charge??? You by no means would want to run out of charge in the middle of a brawl with 3+ werewolves. Otherwise you would need to keep a stash of soul gems in your inventory just to be safe. ( personally I don't use enchantments on my weapons so I'm not too familiar with how often you need a recharge ).

Isn't there a slenderman mod for that?

Haven't had it happen to me yet, but if UF can ragdoll me, I'm sure werewolves can if they decide to use the attack that can ragdoll.
