Undead Behaving Badly (Ambush issues)

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 11:49 am

Ahoy,

Before anyone directs me to the tutorial videos I assure you I watched them, in fact I already knew prior to watching them about making ambushes, but I rewatched them to make sure after I was having issues. Here it is. I set up the dungeon, set up the enemy, set it to sit in chair until you come in... and he just stood there.

Okay, rechecked everything, said screw it, deleted everything, remade the entire scene, rechecked the links, everything solid. Still the Draugr just stood there.

I just said completely screw it, and just straight up copy pasted the one from the ambush room, editing nothing... Still stood around like a lemon.

So, any ideas?

He needs an IDLE PACKAGE (a Sandbox Package) that allows him to sit (and if you only want him to sit, then NOTHING else ticked). He also needs something to sit on.

(Indeed, check if he already has a package that is making him do other things)

You could do it with patrols and Furniture ... but, unless you have his patrol-wait-time set very long he will stop sitting (using the chair furniture) once the timer expires.

(Indeed, check to see if he has any existing patrols , they will pull him out of his seat if he does)

Let me restate myself, the amush wherein the draugr sits in the throne in WarehouseAmushes was directly copied and placed and it isn't working.

He has no other patrols, routes or whathaveyou.

Also, from what I understood was if a thing only had one patrol location, assuming the patrol time was greater then or equal to 1 that he would stay there forever.

Has it copied the NAMES of the objects (specifically the chair?)

You have to select the chair in the CK as part of the "patrol routine" (if a patrol is what you are doing); if you have not reselected it, in your copied cell, then try doing that (like in the Patrol tutorial).

As for one patrol marker then doesn't move ... I don't know, never tried it,

Its a bug I am sure, I have had this happen. Try removing your Mod from the checked mods... start a game and save it with out your mod, don't be where your mod takes place...

Now add your Mod then start the saved game by loading it... I bet it works ... I don't know what causes it...
