Or have I just forgotten how to do it. I am reading the book, then storing it on the shelf, then picking it up before it completely gets on the shelf, but instead of duplicating the book, it leaves me with one book and it says the shelf can hold one more book than it could before

1. How is this related to Dawnguard in any way?
2. How is a glitch supposed to "work properly"?

So anyone want to give me a reply that is not snide? The forums says cheats hints and spoilers.

1. Activate bookshelf
2. Read book
3. Chose magic might or shadows
4. Store book on shelf
5. Highlight the BOOK not the shelf and chose do not read and take it
6. Rinse and repeat

well when i did it, the book never duplicated.
just the same book on the shelf over and over.
but i did notice the bookshelf capacity was increasing everytime

Thats exactly what I am doing from the house in breezehome, but instead of giving me a second book, I take the one and the shelf that said "you can store 11 books" goes to "you can store 12 books" and it increases every time I do it. its up to 25.

The strange thing is this used to duplicate the book.

Also it doesn't dupe the book it lets you use it's ability an infinite amount of times instead of once I also recommend saving often in case you screw up

No I am sure I was duping the book the last time I tried it. There are also tutorials on how to do it
