I have now stoped whining:)

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 9:10 pm

So I was one whiny bastard when I saw the new faces of Vampires, so much infact that i cured myself and went with the dawnguard (which was not the original plan) I have finished the dawnguard gameplay and while i thought it wonderfull i cant help but feel that i am missing out on the VL so i decided to turn my other character in to a vamp and stare upon his face untill i came to therms with it... i have successeded. I am now ready to join the vamps and blot out the sun!
one question though: when you side with the vamps is there still a way to keep a steady supply of steel bolts? (other than killing dawnguards offcause;)

Sir, I commend you. I can only hope the rest of the community can follow in your footsteps and come to terms with their "bugs" and stop whining.

As for your question, I have also just started the vampire side of the quest. And as far as I know, killing Dawnguards is the only method. :(

My High Elf looked pretty cool with his vampire looks. He had a strange split under his lip, or maybe it's blood and his facial features have sharpened along with his skin become a little paler, if greyish. Nothing horrific.

What exactly happened to your character?

*pats* Good vampire. At least I was like WHOAH 'cause my vamp's face changed like.. a lot. o.O she originally had no make-up but now she looks like she stuck her face in a bucket of the stuff.

I got used to it and I'm a Vampire lord 99% of the time now anyhoo. :P

Also, excellent picture. :goodjob:

You can always infiltrate their castle and steal all of their bolts. Or just kill all the random dawnguard spawns - they pretty much all carry bolts...and there are an annoying amount of dawnguard spawns.

How? You can make arrows now but not bolts to my knowledge...unless you can only make steel ones and I'm stupid and haven't looked there.

If you can make them, you can make them at any forge. At least, that's how everything else works (aside from ancient nord stuff / skyforge things, which can only be made at the skyforge).

You have to kill the Dawnguards for the bolts if you side with the vampires.

Dwarven Spheres will give you dwarven bolts. I went the way of a VL but I heard you can make explosive bolts if you go the side of the dawnguard.

How can I put this...

@ OP: Well done for ceasing whining. Although it saddens me that we have been reduced to a state where we congratulate ex-whiners instead of ignoring whiners in the first place.

You can only craft bolts if you side with the Dawnguard. Same goes for xbows. And you will only ever be able to use basic steel bolts, or Dwarven if you loot them from spheres and centurions.

Can't you reverse picocket, give thieves guild members the crossbow and said bolts. Watch as they spew them out in the cistern

Dwarven Spheres also drop crossbow bolts (they have a crossbow attached to one arm and therefore drop xbow bolts now)

Dunno what you're talking about...you can block out the sun just fine. Just have Serana make you some arrows and pew pew at the sun with them. It goes black and everyone starts freaking out. I do it all the time :chaos:

i dont whine about it but even after finding a fix for the dirty face bug, i still get put off by the sickly vamp look every time i see serana or harkon then look at my crackhead vamp

Imo it makes sense to look sickly when contracting the normal vampirism disease but your face should return to normal once you get blessed with the vamp lord gift.
