how do you get that option? i completed the quest with the Dawnguard and kept her with me the entire time, but never got that dialogue. Do i have to be a vampire or support the Volkihar?

it's still rejection though, it almost hurts as much as being rejected in real life. That's only because i'm lonely and spent $20 on a DLC which lacks a few things such as marriage with serana and a snow elf helmet.

I kinda look at it like it's an implied relationship. She says "You're great, really, but I just don't think that's for us." then she goes on to talk about how chapels give her chills due to how she has lived her life, etc.
When she says "us", I feel like that was directed towards Vampires as a whole. I dunno, that's my wishful thinking. Until they release the official option to marry, I shall roleplay to my digital hearts content.
