Other Vampire Lord Families

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 9:05 pm

Are there other Vampire Lord families, that have survived? I was wondering this. Since I came up with something. But I mean the DLC I'm kind of on the fence about, but I decided that why don't I make a character who is already a vampire lord. Or at least use my imagination that he was. His name is Eldire and I made the family clan called Melabone.

So the meeting with Serana and Harken original would be something like,

"A Melabone, I thought your family died out ages ago with the death of your father," Harken.

"You would wish for such a thing," Eldire paused, "I brought back your daughter Serana. Though I feel what is worth to you is the Elder Scroll. If only the other families could see what you have been hiding."

"I'll be creating a better world for our kin," Harken.

"So you say," Eldire says, "But all I see is a family hidden in a tomb."

"How dare you insult my family, when your family is simply dust in the earth,"

"The Melabon are still alive, they may have weaken, but they still live. I ask Harken, what is it that you desire with the Elder Scrolls?"

"Aid me, and you shall find out. Forgive me if I don't trust enough family,"

"Afraid I'd take your reign?"

"Aren't you cheeky, so young, and fresh. But no you'd hardly match the power I have had, you are merely still a young fledgling compared to your father,"

"What if I refuse to assist you Harken?"

"We all know you coudn't refuse, you are after all the same as me. Come find me in the catacombs near the shrine of Molag our creator. We'll see how much you have learned from your father,"

The Volkihar are the only Vampire race that can turn into the Vampire Lord form..which lead them to becoming the dominant Vampire clan in Skyrim.

Fun fact: The original Vampires were Lore wise set in Skyrim so...its plausible that the Volkihar are stronger than them OR..the original vampire clan ended up becoming known as the Volkihar, personally I'd say the latter is the more plausible one since when you think the first of something you assume they would be the strongest.

That shouldn't stop you from RP'ing though, just make it up.

I did make it up. I wrote what I imagined in my head. I even have a picture of Eldire. I'd make him wear the Vampire Armor. Make him an Armored Battle Mage with Conjured Sword. Ah yeah.

Personally I have my character wearing the Vampire Noble/Royal armor with the gauntlets and boots..all upgraded to legendary.

I was probably going to make Eldire wear that, to signify that he is the leader of a clan. Clan Melabone.

I'd say it's totally possible for other families.

Just asking how do you make this work? Are you making like your own book or something or are you just thinking the stuff you wrote as you go along through the DLC?

Well the idea came to me while doing the DLC. See Eldire is actually a character from my very own novel. I've been working on a fantasy series for a long time, and he happened to be a Vampire Lord. The son, only child of Amler. Amler was murdered by vampire hunters, one hundred years ago and Eldire took over his family clan the Melabone they were called. Use to be a clan of glory they were decimated by vampire hunters. The Melabone family remains a husk of its former glory. Yet Eldire never sought tyranny against human kind. There were "Feral Vampires" and then there were "Lords" like him. He felt he could make relations with the humans if they listened. Many of the Lord clans thought he were foolish. As time went on the other families fell and the Melabone stayed, even though they were barely holding on. They hide now in a solid fortitude where vampire hunters cannot find them. The story is sorta of a political fantasy, but politics of Lord Vampires.

But I can totally just put Eldire into the Skyrim DLC. Maybe he heard of Harken searching for things he should not, and decides to emerge from his refuge. Cloaking himself in human disguise[wears a hood and keeps his eyes covered], he uses the Dawnguard to find out where Harken and his men are. When he unseals Serana, he sees the gravity of the situation. To Eldire Harken is simply a Feral Vampire, whom has lost the reign of Lord. For he has now succumbed to his desires of power and greed.

Do you like? lol. I'm sorta looking for some confirmation that I have a good idea at least. Before I go off and spend who knows. I'll actually use Eldire to find all the unknown books and the new conjuration spells and the like.

I meant in the way that other Volkihar split off from this group and started up their own clan I see as totally possible.

The way Harkon talks about Vamps makes them seem like Noble clans and their lesser subjects...which is poppycock. I prefer the Frosty Monsters from Immortal Blood personally but i feel that everyone who plays a Vamp should have their own Family/Clan RP set up

Something about double posting, but here are those pictures of Eldire. Mind you I don't have a scanner so I had to take a photo of them with a regular camera.

http://oi50.tinypic.com/104mdt3.jpg- Taken with a flashlight LD light

http://oi48.tinypic.com/5malpz.jpg - Regular bedroom light

http://oi47.tinypic.com/2f058h3.jpg- Again regular bedroom light

Now I know some of the problems. One of the biggest problems was that I used the wrong pen that wasn't met for art inking and when trying to do the eye circles the pen bled into the eyes. I could have lef a black spot with white, but I decided instead that I'd just black out the eyes. Eldire tends to have bright silver eyes, I know that in Skyrim they glow red, but a man can pretend.

Yeah Eldire looks a little bothered, like he's going to vice grip someone to an oblivion. It's more impressive if I had a high quality digital camera or scanner. But I deal with what I have. I think he wears the most color to any vampire, red, green, orange, and yellows. With browns too. lol while everyone else is wearing white, black or the occassional red and black. lol.

Hmm funny. I have a character named Archaerro(Ark-I-Ro) that I roleplayed seriously with. Didn't really enjoyed using him on this DLC. It just doesn't feel like a DLC for high levels. Feels like a questline mean't for level twenties. Even after finishing Dawnguard I really don't see how it effected my character. Got some decent gear that I probably will never use, short of Ancient Falmer Armor. Maybe I should have sided with the Vampires.

EDIT: I really enjoyed the Aetherium Quest. Am irritated that I don't know how to use the Aetherium Crown.

I find at lvl 27, Rashir Nashida is killing enemies to fast. I'm like, right at the cusp of having a good battle, and then anti-climatically the enemy ends up dying. And I'm like...:(

While my younger brother is playing a lvl 12 character and he's having hard battles, died a couple times, etc.
