Landscapes

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but mostly this is just congratulatory to the team at Bethesda.

I thought the new scenery and landscapes in DG were pretty astounding (and I think they did too, as it seemed their companion characters seemed to say the exact thing I was thinking when I stumbled upon various things - like the prospective DG member at the very beginning of the DLC saying "It's a lot bigger than I was expecting" about the DG castle...I said the same thing, at the same time, lol).

Especially the vale. That whole area (and the bits of cave just before you enter it) is really quite amazing. Some of you may not agree, but as a TES fan from Morrowind, I can say - they have come a LONG way, and done some truly remarkable things. This is the first time I have ever been able to simply walk around in a game - not DO anything, kill anything, or even really go anywhere in particular - and have fun, simply because it looked so good.

So, to all of you at Bethesda who had anything to do with the new expansion, and in particular to this post, the scenery --

Congratulations! :)

The scenery and the areas are cool, but I want a little more content in them.

A small village would be nice.

I agree. When i first saw the Vale I was... Bewildered. It was an insanely gorgeous landscape, beautiful waterfalls and lakes. It was amazing. Excellent job Beth, you really blew a lot of people away with this.

Instead of congratulating them for which they are already acknowledged for... I can only thank them for providing me with this amazing world to explore in, and experiencing an art design in a video game like no other.

:thanks: :tes:

Of course... but only in the release version, because the reduced draw distance from the last patch ruined this to me completely... and you know it's true ;)

The Vale is the cream of the crop for sure. I won't get into detail so you can enjoy it too, but DAMN. Especially with HDMI. :D

That's the thing I didn't like about the DLC. I enjoyed looking at the environment rather than actually interacting with it.
