Dwarven Convectors

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 7:12 am

During the "Lost to the Ages" quest, at Deepfolk Crossing and the Storeroom of Mzulft, did anyone else notice the Dwarven Convectors?

They're shaped exactly like what would normally be a low to mid-range Dwemer loot chest, but they're always empty.

Has anyone figured out what they do yet?

I'm starting to wonder that if you put a certain item in them, it multiplies said item or transforms it into a different substance, something like that. However, i haven't been able to find an item that does anything when placed inside any of the convectors.

So, anyone else have any clue about them?

They symbolize the darkness and emptiness of your soul if you side with the Vampires.

Apparently.

But who needs a Soul when you are immortal and have power.

The Dwarven Convectors are actually for a different quest that is started in the College of Winterhold called Arniel's Endeavor. They've been in the game since the beginning.

They are part of a Vanilla Skyrim side quest for Arniel at the College of Winterhold.

Ahhh. I see now. I've never fooled around much with the College's side quests. Thank you all for the clarification.
