Vampire Lord Questline is not Vampire Lord friendly!

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 2:43 am

My mage became a Vampire lord, naturally since I had pretty much maxed out his magical capabillities I wanted to be in VL form as much as possible for lol's and new achievemnts and the like.
However I can't even count how many times I had to revert form to get through a doorway/locked door and Serena, by Molag Bal I hate her so much and is definnatley not VL friendly. She kills people all the time before you can absord their life essence and you can't tell her to go away half the time! Lastley, the last dungeon. Life absorb is useless on the enemies there I had to hit and run with claw attacks, and they died from poison half the time anyway so it is incredibly hard to do what we're meant to do in that one dungeon!

This is just a little rant, first time i've been on forums since tuesday! Anyway, post your opinions if you can be botherd to, love you all!

Both factions have the same quests except for the first one. Dlc was rushed so they made the quests for the dawnguard first, Ran out of time and just copy and pasted the quests for the vampire side. 7 months dev time and this is what we get.

Yeah that surprised me. I transformed into a VL when you go into the Redwater Den expecting slaughter. It turned into reverting back about 2 times because of locked doors, small doorwars, small spaces, etc. You'd think atleast the main questline locations would be VL friendly.

Funny thing is, Thats the only quest that the vampire faction gets exclusively and they didnt even design it for VL form. The other quests got the excuse of being designed for both factions.

Rushed dlc imo.

Seriously, no offense but please stop with your constant whining/complaining. If you don't like it don't play it but it isn't necessary for you to comment on every post saying how horrible and rushed it was.

So to clarify, are we stuck with Serana again in the Dawnguard quest-line?

Theres cut content everywhere in the dlc. Dawnguard mines. Vampire faction npcs not being used. Unable to upgrade strongholds. Dlc is a rip off.

Yes. I agree, but you don't see me constantly griping about it. Look on the positive side. They made a DLC for one. And it is pretty good if you don't pay attention the cut content.

Why can they make huge dungeons the size of 10 skyrim citys, Yet when they got to make a small fort they botch it up. Madness.

Haha I agree that she makes it harder to level up your VL form cause she's killin stuff so fast. That said, I freakin LOVE her. In terms of combat ability, she's miles above any other follower I've used. I had J'zargo cause the wiki sites say he's the only follower that will level with you and even then he just didn't have the killing capacity she has. Furthermore, She seems to be scripted to be smarter. Eg: She'll unarmed attack people with the gaunlets I gave her that have a 4500 damage unarmed enchantment instead of her dagger. J'zargo on the other hand just stood back and blasted people with freakin sparks even though I gave him manly weapons and the same gauntlets that Serana's rockin now. She'll also jump off cliffs with me instead of finding the long way around (I dont know if this is because her armor I gave her gives her mad health or just because that's what she's suposed to do but in either case its AWESOME.)

All in all, she just seems smarter and deadlier than any other follwer.

Yup, when i was done with the VL side on my mage I went to my warrior, killed some vamps and she just shows up at the vampire hunter's base... just going "Hi there how r u?" and it's just like "...Seriously?..."

serana also makes your vampire lord spell vampire drain extremely weak due to a bug, so i reluctantly let her go and my spell was about 4x stronger

I understand your frustration and disappointment but please stop complaining in every topic. You keep derailing the threads causing them to be locked.

I think vl is more for mages then for warrior types. I got my ass kicked a lot as the VL. I prefer werewolf. Dual summoned werewolves rule. Also, VL takes fire damage up the ass! I'm like target practice for fire mages. I also dont like that Serana makes my drain life spell weak, since I go everywhere with her. Oh well, I'm with dawnguard as a werewolf every other time anyway. Fully upgraded VL is sick though. Getting to that point was a lot harder for me then as a werewolf though.

Every thread he says the same thing. Its not relevant, and its super old and annoying. Also, he's not absolutely right, its his opinion. I thought the dlc was great, despite a few things left out. If he wants to complain, the least he could do is keep it on relevant threads or make his own, that way we can ignore him and just stay out of those topics.
