Any alternative to ForceGreet to replace StartConversation f

I've been trying to get a forcegreet package to work to no avail and it seems overly complicated for what I want. After 24 hours I want the NPC to start a conversation with the player. That's it. Forcegreet seems to be way to complex. Is there an easier way? By the way the 24 hour wait works fine.

If by "start a conversation" you mean, "remain in dialogue mode after the first line is spoken", then as far as I know you will have to get your package to work

If you mean, "the npc should just say something to the player" (but not remain in dialogue mode when the line is finished) then you can maybe use Say(): http://www.creationkit.com/Say_-_ObjectReference
