For all people who are looking for the sought out vampire hood I have seen people on the forums wanting it is possible to get one as for I have obtained one.

You know the Gunmar/Priest of Arkay intertwining quest line? Well if you do enough of those Isran will give you a quest to save a random Jarl from a vampire assassination. The vampire is counted as a advisor and does wear a hood so you will need to discretely kill him to obtain it. After you have accomplished that the hood should be up for grabs and is the only way i have been able to obtain the hood. Hope this works for you guys as well.

EDIT: The hood will be marked Vampire's Hood.

Worth noting that it's not Serana's hood and only resembles the color of it. Many people have the misfortune of assuming this is the hood, or resembles the hood that she wears, when in actuality, it is just a recolored cowl.

Isn't Serena's hood the same as the thieves guildmaster's hood?

It's slightly miscolored, but it's the closest thing that exists in the game. Also, the shape of it is opposite, i guess? She tilts the hood the opposite the player does. Hard to explain without a visual. But yes, its virtually the Guild Master Good.


EDIT: And yes, the cowl is the perfect color. But I've never been a fan of the cowl. But, that's just my preference.
