How to expand a worldspace without breacking all?

Hello I was considering the idea of Enlarging the dimensions of My island mod that is actually 64 x 64 and I wanted to bring it to 96 x 96 so adding a further 32 cells to the east and 32 to the north ... I have already all lods, textures and stuff made and working ... but How can I do to just add new landspace to the neightbouring regions without breacking the lod file and the possibility to create lods?

This is because the format of the landscape I have tested has to be always in power of two I not sure if 96 woudl work or if it would need a 128 ...

I have tried adding new cells to the region but when I finished all the tedious work I clicked save and CK as ofted does went mad and said not memory space something and refused to save , no matter what I could do didn't save anymore and I had to quit loosing all the work done ...

( I hate how much time wasting is this tool ) ...

anyway any ideas or solution for the task?

the reason why I want to increase the dimensions of my island is because I need more wilderness space for some stuff I wanted to do ...
