Adding a New Texture to Armour doesn't work in CK or Nifskop

I recently downloaded a recolor of the Nightingale Armour, I cut out a piece of the texture so I could make a new texture for the fingers so they could replace the skin texture of the gloves. But every time I try to add the new texture via nifskope or texture set in the CK.

It doesn't register instead the texture doesn't show up in Nifskope or within the CK it doesn't even show the file name location for the texture. I even saved it as a DDS file, but still it doesn't want to show up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong for the texture to not work. I looked at the Wiki for it, looked it over and still it doesn't work.

Well, you can't just add to the texture ... there's no mesh there to add it to. That's a hand under it. If you want fingers on the gloves it'll need to be modeled in.

Oh I know that, I'm just trying to replace the skin texture with the texture of the gloves at least part of the texture from the gloves. I can add any other texture from my texture files from mods with Nifskope, But in game it didn't change the texture of my fingers.

So instead I went into the CK made a new texture set & had the skin swapped out with that when I put on the gloves. But when I went into paintnet cropped a piece of the Armour & saved the new texture as DDS. I swapped out the texture I was using for it, but it wouldn't open or load the texture into the CK same goes for when I tried to in Nifskope. Which is what I can't figure out, I've changed Texture colors countless times in Paintnet & never had a problem. Only when I make a new DDS file I have a problem with it not wanting to load, So I must be doing something wrong when I save the new texture DDS file.
