Werewolves no longer able to feed on vampires?

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 6:08 am

I know for a fact that werewolves were able to feed on any man/mer race (falmer not included) prior to dawnguard but with my new werewolf character i just killed 2 vamp fledgelings but i wasn't giving an option to feed off them. Is this a bug or is this intended?

I think its because they're undead. It said in a loading screen, that if you feed on the undead, as a werewolf you gain nothing.

No. vampires never turned to ash in skyrim, unless they're effected by dawnbreaker, but thats for ALL undead. I'm almost positive that the loading screen I saw is the answer.

Well when you feed as a Werewolf what does it say? Heart consumed. Vampires, being undead, have no heart to feed off of.

I doesn't say anything as there is no option to feed.

Well i know they don't turn to ash in the actul game but lorewise they do so not being able to feed on them kinda makes since plus who wants to eat vampire ashes :yuck:

Exactly. They're undead, no beating heart to consume. Thus a werewolf cannot benefit from it.

He means on things u CAN consume. Vampires dont have a fresh heart since they've been "dead" for so long. So there's no life essence for you to consume and get stronger off of.

Its kewl, but I still want to be able to regain health when fighting them. If I can eat the heart of a Chaurus, I should be able to do the same for a vampire. I know chaurus are alive, but they're bugs, and thats a little weird. How does the character even know where the heart is in a chaurus?

Im glad they added the ability to feed of animals and getting half health aswell as lower time extend isn't that bad of a trade off imo.

Spiders? No way! I like to kill them twice. The 1st time while they're alive, then reanimate them and kill em again.

I guess you just eat all the interior of the chaurus and spider? lol

You can eat oil(Machine oil) in normal form, so Chaurus and spiders as a werewolf make sense.
