Not getting random attacks after completion

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 11:37 pm

Not sure if this is a typical result but after completing the Vampire side of the expansion, I've yet to get a single Vampire or Dawnguard encounter.
I'll admit they were a pain in the rear before I completed the story but as it is, they seem to have ceased their attacks altogether.

Am I just lucky or is everyone complaining over nothing. o.o

I've actually never been attacked in a city by my fellow Vampires though I have been attacked after the main quest by the Dawnguard and their armored siberian huskies...which was followed by after I left the city a Farmer running by..stopping and turning into a werewolf..terrible night for my character.

It was only once though, I haven't been in many cities since then though..been lvl'ing up VL in the wilderness.

I was only attacked by vampires in towns up until I took harkon's gift, after that it was all Dawnguard encounters.

I Have only seen one vampire attack. It was in Windhelm Before I even spoke with Durak. After that, it was only dawnguard assaults and never Vampires.

So if everyone has the attacks stop, why is everyone raging so hard over it? I thought that they were a permanent thing, that's why I complained before but knowing that they're a temporary deal, I don't think they're half as bad.

They still happen but probably not as often, I suspect people are in the middle of the Dawnguard questline and are just exploring the world rather than finishing them.

Same here. Used to get them about 50% of the time. Now? Not at all.

So, if I side with the Vampires, my towns don't get attacked? Or do they just not attack me?

Vampires travel in packs in the wilderness at night but they don't attack you.

Only scripted enemy Vampires attack you.

You know the ones the Volkihar call Thin-blood vampires found in caves.

Dawnguard attack you in the cities though its rare after the main quest though..the towns people aid you over them which is funny.

Whenever I'd have a Dawnguard attack in a city, they were only hostile towards me so it wasn't a problem at all.

I agree that the vampire attacks can be a pain but if you just do the questline and avoid cities, you can be rid of them really fast if they're that much of a problem.

Just because you've been lucky enough to avoid it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist

Funny how the Dawnguard laughed at us not noticing the vampire attacks at the very beginning of it.....

Now the Dawnguard is no more.... Except for me dressing up as one and murdering people on the streets and planting incriminating letters.......

There is a problem for sure but luckily if people avoid towns and do the main DLC questline they can prevent unwanted NPC deaths.

I've played the DLC about 20+ hours so far. I've only encountered one Vampire attack and it was in Whiterun right after the Dawnguard quest appeared from the start of the DLC.

I've had maybe five vampire attacks and a few dozen dawnguard squads.
