I know it's my own fault for not putting enough perks into Smithing that I don't have a Dragonbone sword now, but does anyone know of anywhere they can be randomly found? I've completed the Dawnguard side of the DLC, and killed the Keepers, but they were wielding pretty much every type of Dragonbone weapon I didn't want. The Keepers don't respawn do they?

I tried to think of high-level enemies that might carry high-level loot, but I haven't started the main quest so there aren't any dragons about. Any ideas?

I think its possible for any type of armour to be dropped, however Dragonbone would be the rarest of the rare, and would take an extremely high leveled character to find. Im 45 and i havnt seen any Deadric armour at all, nevermind Dragonbone, i put perks into smithing however so i do have a set of the armour and a few weapons...

Idk if level matters but the Keepers in the Soul Cairn all had a Dragonbone weapon when I killed them.

I'm level 81, and I quite often find Daedric arrows, bows, and such like, but no Dragonbone stuff aside from the Keepers. I should've kept reloading in the Soul Cairn until I got one with a Dragonbone sword.

Aye, they all had Dragonbone weapons I didn't want, like a Dragonbone rocket launcher and a Dragonbone M14. I'll just have to keep wandering around until I chance upon something.

That's weird, I couldn't loot the keepers. All their gear would fall through the floor and the corpses were unlootable or disappeared, I cant remember but I do remember that I tried multiple times to loot them and couldn't.

When i was level 43 my enemies started dropping daedric armour
For the Dragonbone weapons i killed a keeper and i got a sword. I guess i was lucky even tho my smithing is 100

They turn into a pile of Ghostly Remains that you can loot.

Dude the story isn't so bad that you shouldn't even START it at level 81

I killed 3 legendary dragons at level 81 and each one dropped a piece of daedric gear. Another option is clearing large caves and ruins and checking the final chest for good loot or finding expert or higher chests.

I think I found that the remains basically had no loot in em. I tried multiple ways of looting which has worked for similar ghost type enemies in Beth games, like trying to loot em while theyre ragdolling (before they disappear) and all kinds of stuff, no loot Guess it's some bug.

I think it depends on lvl as my keepers only del Ed a single black soul gem
