[REQUEST] Chaurus Hunter rigged to Dragon skeleton

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 4:42 pm

I'm planning a boss fight for my mod at the moment, using a giant Chaurus Hunter (the flying Chaurus from Dawnguard), which I'm calling a Chaurus Queen. The problem is, Chaurus are tough, but fights with them (or any high-level creature, really), don't really have the same oomph factor that a fight with a Dragon has. Dragons can grab you, throw you up in the air, fly around, but also fight on foot. Kill animations are cooler with them, as well.

On the other hand, a Chaurus can... spit poison and deal a hell of a lot of damage. It's just not as exciting.

So, what I'd like to do, is make it so the Chaurus Queen basically, acts like a Dragon, which I would assume would mean rigging the Chaurus model to the Dragon's. I'm no modeller, so I dunno how this stuff works.

Anyway, would someone be able to do this for me? Obviously, you'd get full credit when the mod is finally released (the estimated release date is sometime before Fallout 4 comes out :P)

I dont have my CK open right now, so cant check any of this.
But cant you duplicate a named dragon (say Alduin or any other) rearrage factions and scripts to suit your needs and change the shown model for it?
Just tossing out an idea :)

Nope, the skeleton is part of the model, it isn't changed in the CK.

Anyway, someone can probably do it, but you should probably try to learn on your own... the percentage of people who know how to do that is pretty small and they are probably working on their own things. I don't think there's anything wrong with asking someone else to do it, but it might be faster for you to just learn it yourself.

Oh, trust me, I've tried. I can't even get Blender to work on my computer. No idea why.

But it's okay if no-one does it. It's not exactly something I desperately need.
