Dawnguard really wants me to play a vampire!

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 4:07 pm

Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone else who started Dawnguard as a werewolf, but ended up with both the powers of a vampire and a werewolf? I did twice! The first time, I was fighting a master vampire in a bandit cave. I reloaded vampirism gone. The second time I was in Soul Cairn and one of those crystals svcked a bit of my life-force turning me into a vampire as well. So I gave in and let Serana bite me to get the vampire lord powers. I thought that werewolves were immune to disease. Oh well.

The only thing I ever caught as a werewolf was the rattles, but catching vampirism? Crazy.

You get poisoned but it does no damage only damage you take is from the hit that poisons you, same happens if you are a werewolf.

Werewolves can get poisoned. It's only vampires with BOTH Resist Poison and Resist Disease.

Unless they changed something...

Really?

Oh well, I never really looked at the active effects added with Lycanthropy, only got it to get the perks maxed out for the achievement.

Just assumed that it had it since everyone is saying WW are better than VL.

@Fin Kruziik Kel, yeah I know that the pure blood vamps can turn anyone into a vampire, but not those unnamed master vamps or Ideal Master crystals in Soul Cairn. I mean come on, the stupid crystals!
