Everyone I talk to says i have a creature under my control. THis means no husky war dogs or trolls for me to adventure with... I don't think that i have a creature under my control though. How do I fix this???

I had the same problem. It may be related to having talked to a stray dog at one point and having it die. Also, when I went into Castle Volkihar to kill the vamps there, I found the corpse of a stray dog. I have no idea how he got there. Maybe the dog I talked to earlier? At any rate, I think it might be related. Another possibility is that I have been using the free horse from Riften quite a bit. Perhaps it was marked as a follower?

Had the same problem. I fixed this by going to Meeko's Shack (located south of solitude) http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Meeko and then proceeded to go to the road near the house. A dog named Meeko was there and then led me back to the house. You then have the option to let it follow you, let it. After that talk to it again and tell it to go back home and then you should be able to go buy an armored troll. Hope that helps.
