does Fort Dawnguard become a player home at some point?

**possible spoilers ahead**

So i have been following Dawnguard since it was announced, and i do infact remember bethesda saying that depending on which side you join you will get a new home (or something like that) *i.e. castle volkihar or fort dawnguard*

and i beat the main story on the vampire side, and i got castle volkihar, i beat the main story on the dawnguard side, and still after doing multiple side quests fort dawnguard still isn't mine *from what i can tell at least* *and it doesn't even look as good as it did in the trailer (on the inside at least)*

so i was wondering, does the player ever actualy get fort dawnguard? ive been assuming its like the thieves guild in which you do side quests and it not only does it start to look better but eventually you own it as well.

is that correct or is there something im missing? does the player ever get the fort? (or even a room?)

A bedroom on the second floor with a mannequin and weapon rack. That's...it.

It gets a handful of upgrades, but the cobwebs are there to stay!

Upgrades are minimal. Outside gets a wooden, gated guard entry and some tents for refugees. Inside gets armored trolls, forge, enchantery and alchemy station. Otherwise, it stays pretty dirty and bare.

And no need to thank me, just here to help out my fellow vamp hunters.

Hmm, is there safe storage anywhere in the fort?

I'm tempted to say anywhere, but I haven't tried it. I would assume that the bedroom chest is.

He gets lonely at night.

He wants to put his steel bolt into the Dragonborn's crossbow.

And thanks Zex. I will see if it is safe.

Negative. I used the barrel next to the alchemy table for storage even before the table was there.

Completed the dlc, and everything in there decided to despawn. So it seems that only the room upstairs with the mannequin is safe.

Learn from my fail. Lost my entire smithing set, and the rune hammer. And tons of other stuff.
