Dragonbone greatsword location.. : V

I was wondering if it's located anywhere in the game world or if it's random/leveled. I'm only level 20 and my smithing is only 35. It's the best looking greatsword, so I'd like to pick it up ASAP.

I dont know of anything that is guaranteed to have dragonbone weapons apart from the keepers.

EDIT: I have never seen dragonbone weapons in any loot or stores except for the aformentioned creatures but I have enountered Daedric ( albeit rarely).

Like all weapons, i guess it could be found randomly but not likely until your level 60+
So smithing is your best bet

Yeah out of the many hours I've put into Dawnguard only the Keepers are equipped with Dragonbone weapons.

So, if I save before fighting these keepers, I should eventually find the dragonbone greatsword? Or do they have leveled loot?

The Keepers have them, but if your not at the suitible level for them to spawn or be crafted, than the weapons will just disapear.

Ive fought them once, and I got a bow, a greataxe and somehting else ( not a two handed sword).

Dragonbone bow, axe, and something? Do you remember what level you were?

Anyone happen to know the level that the keepers will start to drop the weapons?

As in, im 81... not sure what level you will encounter it with. 60+ at least I would think.

When I faught the Keepers I got a Mace, battle ax and a bow. I was all kinds of excited until I realized that Im at lvl 100 smithing and can make them myself with all the dragon bones Ive kept. Now Ive got two Dragonbone swords, two war axes, two battle axes and gave my wife Mjoll a giant dragon bone ax to use instead of Grimserver.

I was around level 25 when I fought the keepers on my first run through and they didn't drop Dragonbone weapons, and I've never seen Daedric stuff before 50+, so I'm guessing Dragonbone will be 60+
