Durnehviir and his temper

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 3:28 pm

If you kill Durnehviir the second time before you know he’s a talker are you screwed?

So you kill Durnehviir when you exit the bone yard, ‘cause, you know, he’s a dragon and he just attacked you and Valerica warns you that he will come back so you better hurry, but it turns out with all these warnings what you should’ve done, when you open the door and he’s waiting for you like Darth Vader with an attitude, was find out if he was gonna be the first dragon in the game to want to chit chat instead of attack. The other two dragons you talk to, the game leads you by the nose so you know it’s coming. 40 odd dragons see you as a snack, this one just wants some good conversation.

He’s not on the dragon wall next door to the boneyard, so no new dragon shouts for you?

I talked to him with my dawnguard dude* but my vamp wants some soul tearing. How does a dragon that keeps resurrecting and hating it get so mad if you don’t talk to him he takes his ball and goes home?

* Edit: After I'd killed him with my vamp

Wait, so you talked to him previously, so you knew he would talk to you, but, then you murdered him with another playthrough, claiming you thought he was going to eat you and now you are bummed that you can't get the shouts? Just making sure I read that right.

So, if you were immortal, and killed when trying to talk to someone, you would keep trying? Just cause he comes back that wouldn't mean he loves the feeling of being killed, disintegrated, and reformed. Sorry, but if I were him I'd give you the finger and go do my own thing too.

OP, if this is true, you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Nope, killed him first and it wasn't that hard so with my dawnguard dude I was gonna try a different attack so I stepped forward and he said "Hey, ya got a minute, there's something I've been meaning to ask you." Then I said "Oh crap."

So no answers to the question just judgments on assuming the last sentence meant something it didn’t? If I knew you could talk to him first I wouldn’t have killed him second.
