Hopefully they'll give in before then and add in a marriage option.

They'd have to get the voice actor back in. Not sure if that'd be difficult or not, but it's not as easy as tagging Serana as being marryable, ya know?

Not that I disagree with your sentiment.

Who knows what they were thinking... forcing you to go on a 10 hour questline with a heroine just to not be able to marry here.

"I hate Someguy029. Not only will I not include Goldbrand, but I'll make a DLC where he'll fall head over heels over a hot nord chic but be friend zoned."

Something along the lines of that.

A heroine that they knew people would like and one that was meant to grow close to the player character. Why dont we at least have the option? I honestly bethesda was playing a joke on us.

Obviously. I may be hard on the devs at times but they are NOT stupid people. They knew we'd want that.

Gimme a hand, fellas, because I seem to have dropped my Amulet of Mara, what exactly is the "nope sorry dude" dialog? Is it different if you have her turn you into a vamp or if you convince her to be cured? Details, guys, because I probably won't have time to play again until Thursday night and even then I want to start it with a new character now that I know the plot.

I sometimes wonder if the developers hate their customers. It seems that every third character is scripted to have some insult for the player. Belethor is the most obvious. Eorlund does the same thing if you ask him to tell about himself. After a while I got to feeling that the game was designed for S/M freaks.

Do you think they got tired of all the insults on the forums and retaliated by insulting the players in the game?

it seemed like they were setting it up with all the dialog. maybe something broke in the code or they didn't have time.

aww this svcks! i was keen on marrying her after doing so much adventuring by her side, and its weird that you can be so kind to her in dialogue yet not have a relationship with her.

I've been doing a lot of leg work trying to get serana to marry. Been looking on the forums to see what people have done to see if she will, so far no!!

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!

Half way through looking for her mother I got the dialouge line of marrying her with the much quoted temples dislike followed by the talked about it enough already line.

The funny thing is about 3 rooms after that I noticed we were in a room in Volkihar Keep that was a run down Mara temple - no change in response

The dialouge option asking to marry still hangs around even after finishing the quest, I had the thought that maybe there were extra things I could do that might open the responses, So here is a list of all the things I did to see if I could get it to change.

1. Got mum back from soul cairn
2. after finishing went back to run down Mara temple in Volkihar Keep
3. Did Mara quests and checked all Mara clerics (thought might get option to get 1 back to Volkihar)
4. Did Dreamstride quest (thought what's his name the Mara cleric might help)
5. Took her back to her tomb in Dimhollow crypt
6. checked dialouge options right after she comments how wonderfull a place looks and she's glad she's sharring it with me
7. tried marring Lydia in front of her to get a jealous reaction.

None of the above did anything to change her response.

I was a female vampire before Dawnguard and wore the amulet of Mara - still am the whole time.

I am currently going though all the vampire side quest but I'm not sure If there is an end to them and if her response will change if I finish them.

So I'm not sure if Beth. intentionally made it so you can't marry her or if there is a bug, if she's not going to marry then why have the bloody dialouge option avialable all the time? It's a tease!!!
