Hello,

First of all I apologise if this is not the right place to post this RP stuff.

Post your character's (maximum 2 characters) background story and explain why were they trying to cross the border and fell into the imperial ambush and then rate the story above.

My characters are :

1.

Name: Ymirheim
Race: Nord male
Age : 35
Occupation: Dragonborn/warrior

Ymirheim was born and raised in Skyrim on his parent's farm somewhere in the Falkreath hold . His mother died when he was a child. He lived with his father until he was about 20 years old.
After leaving his home behind, he went off to explore Skyrim and maybe other provinces of Tamriel.
Seeking adventure, he joined a group of bandits in Cyrodiil so he settled there.

After roughly 15 years he received a letter informing him that his father was killed by another group of bandits who were rivals to his own group.

He became disgusted with the bandits way of life and abandoned his former mates feeling guilt and remorse for joining them in the first place.

Wanting revenge, he left Cyrodiil but while trying to cross the border he was ambushed by the Imperials who took him to Helgen for the execution.

He later discovered that he is the dragonborn of legend and his mission became clear: to protect Skyrim, his homeland which he will never again leave.

2.

Name : Jar'rod
Race: Khajiit male
Age : around 30
Occupation: Thief/Assasin

Jar'rod was born and raised in Elsweyr, the Khajiit homeland. When he was in his twenties, he joined a Khajiit trade caravan because he wanted to explore so he left Elsweyr , travelled north through Cyrodiil , then west through Hammerfell and back into Cyrodiil. He was caught by an imperial guard while smuggling skooma .

All the khajiit of the caravan were thrown into the imperial jail. After five years in jail he finally escaped with the rest of his khajiit friends. Some of his friends fled into Hammerfell, others tried to go back to Elsweyr only to be cought again. Jar'rod decided instead to flee north, into Skyrim, a land he has never been to. He knew that it was a cold , harsh land, nearly opposite to his homeland of Elsweyr. He liked challenge and he knew that he would survive.

He was cought by an imperial ambush while crossing the border into Skyrim. This time he managed to escape because of a dragon, a creature he didn't even knew it existed.

Skyrim became his new home, wether was permanent or if one day he will go back to Elsweyr , he didn't knew. He joined the thieves guild, it suited him best. Now he is looking forward to joining the dark brotherhood.

Thanks for reading

It's early. Half the people on the forum are probably still asleep. Bump this later and it should get more attention.

Yours are a whole lot better and more thought out than mine! I don't give mine as much history when it comes to age and upbringing, Jar'rod certainly seems like a fun character, that's traveled a hell of a lot, too. Makes me want to play as a Khajiit explorer.

Mine isn't very good but I'll do my best to explain.

Name - Wulf Decanius
Race - Imperial
Age - 63

Once a high ranking officer in the Imperial Legion during The Great War, he used his sinister knowledge of Necromancy and Conjuration to gain the upper hand on the battlefield, fallen allied soldiers were resurrected in order to continue the fight as to not go to waste, wounded allied soldiers were slaughtered in order to harvest their souls while his prisoners of war were used for experimentation. Upon the signing of The White-Gold Concordat his atrocities were brought to light, he was exiled and sentenced to prison indefinitely, although not executed on the grounds that his services may come in use someday, since despite the gruesome nature of his war crimes his record in achieving victory was flawless.

Not wanting to wait until that day came however he made an elaborate escape from prison, and after hearing stories of battle and war in Skyrim he knew that's where he needed to be, not expecting that soon enough he'll be devouring the souls of men and dragons alike whilst conquering forts and waging war on behalf of the Empire once more. After joining The Dark Brotherhood and Stormcloaks for some time in spite of his loyalties simply as payback for imprisonment and near execution, mind.

Name: Raziel
Race: Imperial
Class: Spellsword
Age: 20's

Raziel was born in Hammerfell, to two imperial parents who were in shamed exile following the oblivion crisis.

They were descendants of traitors to the empire, who had been followers of the mythic dawn, and fled Cyrodil after the assassination of Uriel Septim VII, terrified of being found out that they were traitors.

From a young age, Raziel showed an interest in magic and Daedra. Terrified that their little boy would make the same mistakes their ancestors did, his parents sought to try and stamp out any magical influences and interest. But Raziel was very stubborn and rebellious.

When he was 16, he left home and fell in with a rogue group of Daedra worshippers, dedicated to Molag Bal, and determined to bring him back to Tamriel to spread chaos. It was with these that Raziel started to show an interest in necromancy and control of the dead.

This was to change however, as one night, aged 19, the group brought forth two sacrifices - Raziel's parents. They urged him to kill them to show his loyalty, but he refused and tried - in vain - to save them. The group of worshippers slaughtered his parents and brutally tortured Raziel for hours. He managed to escape, barely alive, and passed out on the Skyrim border.

He was found by an elderly Nord Woman called Ariel, and stayed with her until he was back to full health. Haunted by his past misdeeds, and his parents death, he left Ariel's and sought to destroy those who had taken his parents life, and renounced necromancy, choosing instead other forms of magic.

He went back to Hammerfell, and one by one, over the course of 5 years, he killed all but one of those responsible.

In tracking the final member of the worshippers, it brought him back to Skyrim. He heard tales of a Daedra worshipper entering tombs and performing vile Necromancy acts upon Skyrim's long gone ancestors.

While travelling just past the Skyrim border, , where the worshipper had been rumoured to have been spotted, he came upon an old woman who had been beaten black and blue on the side of the road. It was Ariel. She was dead. Raziel was sure he knew who had done this.

At that moment, guards came by and caught Raziel with the corpse. Suspecting him of murder, and without any witnesses, he was thrown into a prison.

He told his story to the guards. Nobody believed him. He was loaded into a cart, headed to a town called Helgen for execution. That's when his story really began.

Ps Wulf Decanius's story was very good :-) 8/10

Name: Artorius
Race: Imperial
Age: around 35

Artorius Maximus...raised in the ruins of Sancre Tor and Palancar Valley by the remnants of the Blades and Fighters guild after being found alone in the wilderness...origin unknown...parents unknown...possesses strength, skill and intelligence unparallelled. He was trained to be a soldier from before memory. he knew the love of an older woman and kindly old man who seemed to possess confidence that belied his attitude. he demanded respect and cleanliness but also returned with a kind love. Artorius was trained with the sword and shield, the bow, mounted combat, hand-to-hand and was taught the value of stealth as well as the shock of a full frontal assault. taught by the legendary Blades of old he came of age better than anyone at any physical form of combat. he left Palancar Valley to offer his services to his beloved Empire that he had been taught to love. distinguishing himself as a conventional (and unconventional) soldier he came to the attention of his superiors, eventually the Council. by now the Emporer was a bit of fool and the Council ruled much. Artorius worked behind enemy lines, assassinating, disrupting lines, and others...then the war ended...badly...he returned to his old friends who had mostly passed and decided there wasn't much there. 5 years later the Empire recalled him...there was unrest in the Northern part of the Empire...Skyrim was falling apart and no one knew why. Tulius was acting as his own Emporer and was not treating the people fairly...investigation was needed. Artorius was known as someone who could act with discretion and if need be fantastic violence...also he is to gauge the people's outlook. they will be needed if there is to be backlash against the increasingly oppressive Aldmeri Dominion. As Artorius neared the border he was to report and collect equipment and clothing from a high ranking individual. Pilate Primus was an old friend and had recommended Artorius for this...coming to see him off, he waited...as Artorius aproached all was not well...his friend was dead. the wagons hauling Ulfric and his men, soldiers at the ready came...saw...Artorius had no desire to fight his countrymen nor could he divulge his mission. plausible deniability was in place. he knew the risk. he accepted them. he was caught...as he neared Helgen he knew this was it. to the chopping block he went...then the Dragon came...his story continues from there...

i would post my Orc but that would take even longer...lol!

fantastic stories guys! glad i'm not the only one who really get into this...10/10...

Please ignore the poor sentence structure simple vocab and lack of detail, it was written for personal use because I didn't know other people would be interested to read such a thing! My excuse to play a Nord barbarian on the main quest and stormcloak side who for some reason had to be crossing the border from Cyrodil at the start

Name: Einarr the Forlorn (Einarr means Lone Warrior)

Einarr spent his young years in the city of Bruma in northern Cyrodil. A single child he was born and brought up among the Nordic population of the city and lived a traditionally Nordic lifestyle. Tutored by his father Einarr became not only a competent smith but also participated in traditional methods of Nordic hunting. The Jerall Mountains that lie as a border between Skyrim and Cyrodil became his regular hunting grounds and he learnt them like the back of his hand.

Pestilence stole both of his parents from him when he was a young man and for a short while Einarr took up his father’s place at the family Smithy. Einarr became increasingly devout in the weeks and months after his parents passing, praying regularly to Talos and spending entire days in mourning and meditation. Although he was a good smith and could have made a life for himself in Bruma Einarr felt suffocated by city life and eventually left to roam the mountains where he lived in seclusion for many decades.

When the worship of Talos was banned in the Empire by Aldmeri command Einarr heard rumours of some kind of resistance on the other side of the mountains, in Skyrim. And so he made his way to a narrow pass and not knowing what kind of adventure lay ahead, he crossed the border…

Artorius story was great! He sounds like he should never have been a level 1 character at the start of the game though

Love the story of Wulf Decanius too!
