[Help] Making an Actor friendly to the player but hostile to

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 7:01 am

I'm trying to make a Snowy Sabrecat a pet in a mod I'm making and I'm having problems with making it friendly. I've placed it in the interior I want it in but everytime I load the mod its hostile to me. I've looked at the AI data and AI Packages and they do not make sense at all to me (I'm new to modding). All I want to do is make my Sabrecat sit in my interior and not attack me or any follower I take in, but attack any hostile enemies (bandits etc) that may enter. Ideally, I would like to be able to make it a follower, but right now I'm more focused on making it not attack me. Can anyone help me?

Also, please explain it in plain english, or laymans terms as well, so no jargon please. Thanks in advance! :)

you have to look into factions, they are the key functions to control who attacks who, the AI packages control what they do and how they do things.

Ok so my sabrecat is in the factions:

CreatureFaction
PredatorFaction
SabreCatFaction
SprigganPredatorFaction

So I want it to include the player faction as well? If so how do I add it to the player faction?

I've found a video tutorial on how to do it, I'm going to try it tomorrow. Here is the link for anyone that is interested in how to do it also, it's not confined to Sabrecats, it can be done on any creature.
