The loading screen tips says "Arrows and crossbow bolts can be smithed at forges." But I have level 100 smithing (albeit only the heavy armour perk side), but there aren't any options for smithing bolts. Do I have to smith them somewhere specific, like some special forge in Fort Dawnguard? Also, does my level even matter in smithing bolts? They are steel bolts and steel is the first perk...

yeah you need to be at the forge in fort dawnguard

Ah, ok. I was trying to do it at Whiterun's Skyforge. I guess it sort of follows that same principle- Skyforge is the only place to actually craft Drauger armour

You can make them at any forge after you get the Breton chick during one of the Dawnguard quests.

Ah, yeah- I asked her to tell me how to design a crossbow and she said it was easy. After that I'm only assuming you have the knowledge to make them and hopefully the bolts as well? I haven't been able to try because the [censored] vampires keep attacking town and killing everyone. Pissing me off.
