If you are away from home for ten in-game days and the house resets does it displace items you've placed? Like, I put a dibella staute upstairs on the cupboard where the bowl and jug used to be. Will the jug and bowl respawn and knock the statue off the cupboard? And I've got a couple insects in jars on the shelf at the rear of the upstairs. Will that junk respawn and knock the insects on the ground?

Yes all the junk you removed will return, so probably what you tried to replace it with will end up on the floor.
