So im a vampire lord...

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 12:51 pm

and in the active effects menu, it says i have 20% weakness to fire and my health/magicka/stamina don't regenerate in sunlight. except they do...
whats up with that?
or is it just when you're in vampire form?
or will it get worse as i feed or something?

if this is the case, being a werewolf sounds like a better idea.

Vamps always have the no-regen thing in sunlight but that seems to not matter when in VL form.

i tried running around after using all my magicka and stamina in a fight and they still regen, although slowly.

If you have artifacts or items that cause your magicka to regen and stamina it will force your character to regen but without them you won't regen.

Feeding keeps it as is..not feeding makes it harder and harder to find good enough items to cause you to regen.

It doesn't technically stop regen, it just reduces it by 100%, so if you have regen gear on then you can still regen some

Hasn't been much problem for me. Adventure outdoors in the dark and you don't get hit by the penalty if you are indoors, in a dungeon etc. You can interact with people during the day, such as vendors in town. You just learn to adjust your game play. I personally find VL more fun than werewolf.

I believe the restoration perk that increases Magicka regeneration avoids the No Regen. drawback for Magicka while in sunlight.
The drawback is -100% Magicka Regeneration. Aslong as you increase it out of the "-100%" range, you will regenerate magicka, although maybe very slowly, depending on the increase.

If that made any sense?

Yup, and the stamina regen perk in the light armour tree does the same thing. Spare an enchantment slot for health regen and boom, daylight nerf is no more!

Shame no-one told Harkon about that. Would have saved everyone a LOT of farting about...
